5 days to tokyo

Another 5 more days to Tokyo. I am so excited. 70% of the stuffs are packed..except for my passport..the translation book and map..the mositurizer..lip balm..dear's winter jacket..

there is a web cam that show Hakone in live..but from what i see, no MT FUJI, the haze blocked the view..hope to see it real BIG when we head for the cable car..which my colleague claimed that i can see clearer better..

met up with Joanne yesterday..bought 2 shoes..and just control myself not to buy any high heels, as in not above 2.5 inches..Joanne is going to work in Aussie, without knowing that she has to pay tax at both sides! ;p now this is gonna fustrate her!

dear is back, short one for this round..and he is napping now..CNY is just next week, many thought i'm leaving to honeymoon to 'siam' ang baos, but no true lor, i have already packed the angbaos, spending $800! But i think itwill be the least for this year, cos we are not heading to many relatives place..

bought 2 blouses, 1 sweater, 4 pants. sweater and 1 pant for winter since the CNY first day I will be there.

not forgetting to plan for V day, since it will be the 1st one for 1st year marriage. We will be heading to Oscar for lunch then to movie..dinner, might stay home since it will be crowded everywhere..

ok..bye pals.. HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! I will be off from 5th Feb to 11th Feb. pls do not call my mobile, anything just text me..expensive roaming..

15th Jan, The Actual Day

on 15th Jan, i woke up and told Cindy, "Dear, it's my big day today. I finally got married!" Girls, let me tell you this morning, it's just so different. Cos you are gonna to be someone's wife and daughter-in-law.


At 5.30am, my make up artist Irene came. And it all started. By 6am, all the jie meis arrived and start prepare for the stuffs. Though I am not able to see their preparation process, but from the laughters and shouts, I knew that they have problem sticking the cherries to the string. The cherries are too heavy so it kept fell off from the stalk. Same goes for the banana.

Ferlene prepared the "sour,sweet,bitter and spicy" plate. It was lovely. She used Wasabi to write the letter "LOVE".




Here's the treats or tricks:


-First, groom has to shout "I LOVE YOU ELAINE" from the void deck



-2nd, he and the brothers need to finish up the "sour,sweet,bitter and spicy" plate. Not to mention that they had to lick up each wasabi letter.


-3rd, groom need to put the string of cherries around his neck, and string of bananas tie to his waist. The brothers then need to eat up those stuffs. This is funny plus gruesome. But the jie meis enjoyed so much!


-4th, groom need to stick the masking tape to his leg's hairs. And on the masking tape, he needs to write "I will love Elaine forever"



-And he needs to give the ang baos to enter. Then sing "The moon represent my heart" and finally find the right key to open the door!



Of course, with the help from my mum, he manage to get the right key to the bedroom door(there wasn't any correct key from what the girls gave to him!)



U know, the moment he walked in, left up my veil and kiss me..was so sweet, but surprisingly, I didn't tear at all..haha.



after which, dad shelter me down with sort of "red" umbrella and i head to my in-laws place. Reason for dad to shelter, meaning he married me out of the house. Don't ask me why red color cos my mum just gave me dad a mixture of pink and blue umbrella. That's modern k. (we didn't really follow the traditional.

When reach their house, they were supposed to hide in the room till i called them "father and mother", then they can come out. Reason for this is that, in future, we will not bicker when we meet.


Next is the tea ceremony. Then head to my place for lunch and tea ceremony. We dismissed the jie meis and brothers to go home and rest. Hubby went for short nap(musn't be angry that he slept cos you must consider that he will drink at the dinner and it would be bad if he doesn't have enough sleep) and I stay awake(on the other hand, I better don't drink at the dinner) to entertain the guest as mum and dad were out to do their hairs.



At 4pm, we were all ready to head to the restaurant. But some delay here and there, so end up only reach there at 5pm. And it rained so I am damn worried that the guests would be caught in the rain as it is an open carpark. And mum said that if it rain, it showed that the hosts are stingy pple. Luckily, the rain stopped at 6pm.



Mum went for her make-up then my turn. And my sisters who took my wedding gown was stuck in the jam. I was so damn worried that they would not reach by6.30pm. My hair can't be done unless the gown arrived. So meanwhile, Irene did make up for my sister-in-law. Luckily by 6.30pm, the girls arrived with my gowns, popcorns and registration list. They felt bad about it and asked me not to be piss. I wasn't pissed but more to worried. It's ok, they still make it in time. So by 7pm, I was ready to welcome the guests. Was shocked by this huge poster of us. made by Dainel. OH MY GOD, the 1st thought was where am i gng to put this poster at home?! But I manage to find a place now. It's on the wall, behind my bed. Will post the photo the next blog. It's so nice of him. He couldn't attend my wedding that day as he got an exhibition to take care.



And 7pm, lots of guests started to arrive. And popcorns and lollipops were out. Not much pple appreciate that as I have many left over. Abit sad when i knew they don't think it was consider as a surprise. But to me, I felt it was like going to a movie preview since our invitation card said that it was a movie preview.Nobody actually does that for their wedding..i'm the first mah!



Anyway, everything considered went well..the kids manage to march in without running away. food was not bad, alot actually praised for the food. Colleagues enjoyed so much that they started "yum seng" on the 1st dish!


Everything ends at 10.45pm. Settled the bill and got many drunkards left in the restaurant. One of the brothers, Jason who actually helped us drink alot..was super drunk, or I should say HE KO liao. Had to send him home. Then head to in-laws place to count ang baos. When I reached my place, washed my hair and head to bed at 3am. Woo~



The next day 16th Jan, woke up at 8am. Ordered Mac for breakie then went to bank to settle outstanding and then bridal shop to return gown. WOO! only on 17th Jan, I manage to sleep well.

finally it's over.

YES! Finally it's over..MY stress and worries is over..

let me try to recall what has happen before and on my wedding..

On 11th Jan, the day for AN CHUANG.. alot of BOO BOO stuffs happens. Almost miss the auspicious hour..but luckily at the end still manage to AN CHUANG at 4:55pm. (must not miss the timing after 5pm)

Brother went to take my lopllipops for me..When he came back, found out that the stand can't be fix! I am so depressed..was thinking, if 11th Jan is an unlucky day for me but dear was trying to keep me positive. BTW, my youngest brother went to collect despite heavy rain cos he knew i am so damn sad about the company who deliver my bed.

On 12th Jan, collected my wedding gown in the noon. By evening, dear sent me back to my home and we are not supposed to meet till wedding day. After he sent me home, I went to my hens night with the girls and AH WAI (ok, he is a guy but i consider him as my sisters). Head to Club Yang @ Neil Road. Later on, dear called me and he was at Duxton Blue Pub (only a street away from me) Wanted to meet up with him but was stopped by the girls.. I really miss my dear and just couldn't stop thinking of him (ok, I know it's disgusting)
At 1am, we head to Valve and continue to drink till 5am! I wasn't drunk(but high) and it was like years that I did not stay up till that late! But really have to thanks JOEY..I really wanna go home by 1am but she was telling me it's only once in a lifetime and asked me to stay up! I really enjoy myself, not too much of the WILD PARTY but more to relax and singing..IT WAS REAL FUN! will upload the pics when i'm back to work on MONDAY!

On 13th Jan, stayed home cos did not have enough sleep from the previous night.

14th Jan, met up with Ferlene and her boyfriend. They came from Aussie to attend my wedding. Went for lunch then head to my mani and pedi with her. Shock to know that it actually cost $10-$13 for per nail, nailart. She was saying not many locals there know how to do nailart so those who actually does it were Japanese. That's explain. After which, she came over to my place for dinner. Mum did not see her sice 4 years ago when she came back to pay us a visit. So i thought why not ask them over for dinner?! Both of them helped out with the stuffs(the treats or tricks for the groom) and went home for early night. Cindy then came over. I was too tired and fell asleep at 1145pm. Cindy complained that it's the eve of my big day. I should be too anxious to fall asleep but i was on medication and was really too drownsy.. Eww..I was sick for 3 weeks liao..and was worried that if i will be blowing my nose off on the BIG DAY. And by 1am, I woke up..the drownsy effects were gone. Force myself to sleep..woke at 2am..this time, i woke cindy up and got her to talk to me. She mumbled and fell asleep. By 3am, I woke up again..force myself to sleep again.

AT 4am, I WOKE UP AGAIN. Yah, I'm indeed nervous and stress! This time, i couldn't sleep anymore cos I need to wake up at 4.45am. My Make up artist will come at 5.30am. Drank chicken essence to keep myself awake. Btw, I had bird nest the previous night. Thanks to mum!

everyone can tell that i'm stressed and yes I am.. it's a once in a lifetime thing so i wana it to be perfect.

Next Tuesday is the Guo Da Li and follow by Friday, an chuang..bed frame, bedsheets and bed are settled. Left the pillows..cos need to buy hard one..the King Kol one is good..

Am going to expo this Sunday to try out the player for my wedding video and see if it works. Cindy will come over my hse next Tuesday and work out with me on the Emcee speech. Lixuan is coming to office on Monday to start her attachment so can work out with her on Monday.

Trying to get Liyen to help me on the video stuff cos i think my brother will be busy with video camera when i march in..
