the family gathering

Had a gathering for both side families at our cosy home yesterday..though it started and ended early(unlike our plan), and i do house chores like a maid plus we lost $$ in mahjong, we are still happy to see both sides enjoyed. Erm not sure my family cos they seems like coming to my place for dinner and some chatting sessions with my in-laws.

After everyone left at 8+, my bro-in-law suggested to play blackjack which i think it's kind of boring and not much interaction. So i propsose mahjong and not wanting to let his wife feel bored, i let her played and we shared the win/loss equally.

And there I was, mopping the floor when they had mahjong. Turned out that both his bros won, hubby lost $50 and my sis-in-law lost $20 or so (and she did not make me pay for that share). So instead i share hubby's loss with him.

Guess the most boring was their 5 yr son. He had nothing to do except to watch TV, asked for milk and disturb them. lolx. But guess everyone enjoyed and my bro-in-law suggested to do this again next Sat which i reminded them about their Malacca trip.

i kind of enjoyed such gatherings, not forgetting that i actually invited my ex-colleagues up to my place for a small drink at the very last min after another BBQ outing last Friday. A small group is good enough as everyone has the chance to talk and i have enough time to entertain each of everyone. I prefer this than doing a BIG HOUSEWARMING and i have no time to entertain them plus showing them around(though i have nothing to show). haha.

i am glad that hubby is helping out with the household chores though my pals said all these are temporary..


Last Sat - Woke up 8+ in early morning (maybe still not use to the NEW ENVIRONMENT). Had breakie at koufu downstairs (really cannot make it food) then went Harvey Norman Expo sale. Bought my convention microwave oven and a fan. Brother-in-law paid for the oven as a gift to us. Had some cropped up with works so i was practically on the phone throughout our way back. Hubby was carrying the heavy oven and stopping when walking from carpark to lift because i was worried that my phone line will cut off in the lift. Poor hubby!! Was going to prepare pail of water to mop the floor then to realise that THERE IS NO WATER! Anyway, the town council must have received complaints with regards to the water power too SMALL. The water supply resume after 40mins so did all the houseworks and almost fainted in the toilet. Cleaned the toilet and squatted too long thus low blood resulted in BLACK OUT! Hubby scolded me and said i always don't listen, force myself to do it when i can't.. Actually, down in my heart, i am pissed cos if he can AUTO WASH TOILETS i will not have this BLACK OUT mah! Kaoz...Hopefully he will wash toilets from this week onwards.


Sunday - Went to AMK for breakfast (this shows how badly SK food was). Wanna prepared baked rice for hubby since I have got my oven. After getting all groceries, while on our way to carpark, it started to drizzle. I can't take 太阳雨and was about to run my way to the car when hubby took out the foldable umbrella from his pocket..which i dun even notice he did that!! Hubby called himself doraemon cos he predicted that it will rain and he knew his wife不可以淋到雨所以早已预备好！

Dinner time, hubby's family came over for dinner (all except my MIL and sister who did not run up). I cook the rice and they 打包the dishes from kopitiam. I still continue to do my baked rice but i failed, too dry and i don't know the oven well enough. Anyway, will be trying baking after i got all the tools!

me and hubby have moved in with effect from 23rd Sept and i can say i am in honeymoon period with my house..not hubby ah..lolx

subscribed to SCV because of the sports channel and TMD!! next yr have to chg to ST because ST won the rights..kaoz..SH really waste my time..luckily nvr become their hub club member.

time to knock off..will try to update more often since i'm settled down now!
