just came back from a mini celebration with the core team..

I've been reading this Jap-looking Singaporean blogger, Dawn Yang's blog..many 'mean' comments about her. Should I say this people are jealous of her been good looking? She is not proud..from what I read from her blog. Overall, a girl should be proud if she been called pretty..don't you agree? But I must say she is really lucky girl, born pretty in a rich family, with loving parents.

But I am not bad either..have a loving parents, though we aren't rich, not to miss out that I now own a loving hubby! hehe..

I wana go Genting..for a short break away..His cousin-in-law actually booked the whole bus for the whole family to go Genting next week but..seems like hubby's uncle..abit..cannot "Make It"..he's still not recovering from his stroke and doc mentioned that most organs in his body are not working well..So the trip is called off..kinda sad..he's now in Ren Ci hospital to recover.

Anyway hope a miracle arrive for him..

honeymoon! tokyo

It's been a week that i'm back from honeymoon..

tokyo from 5th Feb to 11th Feb..during CNY, not trying to 'siam' ang baos k..cos even when i'm back, i went visiting the relatives (PAI NIAN) and hubby's uncle got a stroke and is in hospital. that's explain for the late updates..

5th Feb 4pm - my flight is at 8.45pm but cos his brother having reunion dinner with the in laws so he got to send us to the airport early..it's really rot..

in the SQ lounge..me and dear were really bored to death.except eating and playing games on my mobile..there's nothing we can do..

my TV wasn't working once the plane was on air.

So, complain to the stewardess..she promised to get it fix during the transit in Bangkok..before landing in BKK, she gave me a flight coupon of 75USD to shop in Kris Shop.

11pm Transit in BKK - back to the plane..the TV still not working. Argh! I force hubby to chg seat with me..since he take SQ every week and has finished all the movies.. So hubby made the complain to the same stewardess(i suppose she was the senior there) and see if there's a chance for us to chg seats..She claimed the flight was full..even business class was full..but not true lor..we can easily tell that business class was available..hubby was pissed..can tell from his face.. guess what the stewardess replied? How about I get you some magazines? Hubby said no as he finished all..Then she replied..ok about I entertain you? I can sing and dance?

Haha..I was shocked to silence..trust me..she don't look pretty..

6th Feb - Finally..Narita Aiport..it was a long queue at the custom checkpoint..and there is this neoprint machine at each counter..they will need your photos..this is cute.. then hubby head out for a puff..i dun need a puff..but once i blow..i can see visible cold air..then head for breakfast..just a normal cafe..with high tables but no chairs..and it cost us 20 bucks for 2 sandwiches and a latte..

Took the Keisei skyliner from Airport to Hotel Parkside in Ueno.

Then, left our 2 luggages in the hotel counter then went out to explore..

Ameyayokocho..nice shopping area.

did not buy anything yet cos it still early..most shops closed..so just have lunch at this ramen store..it's very nice..esp the pudding..and the egg was special..it is hard boiled on the outer..raw for the yolk..

then walk ard in Ueno park, just next to my Hotel..

At 2.30pm - head back hotel to check in.then head to Odaiba! Oh man, this is a lovely place..a distance away from Tokyo Central so you have to buy a one day pass (800yen) in order to travel from a place to another..First head to Toyota Mega Web showroom..the concept cars can be found in here..Then to Venus Fort..a lovely shopping center..which made you feel that you are in Venice.

for dinner..we had japanese curry chicken rice..yummy to me but not to hubby..who claims singapore curry is better..after which, head to meet his brother's customers..but we took awhile to find out what is the country code of Japan so that we can call him. Then, meet them up for dinner but we see they eat cos we are too full for anything.

7th Feb 8am - had ramen for breakfast and it abit not suitable for my tummy cos i had a tummy ache after finishing..so have to run to the public toilet in Tokyo station..that cost us to be late for disneyland..

Luckily we bought the tickets the day before..you can't imagine how long is the ticket queue..the rides queue and the queue to take photos with Mickey and Winnie the Pooh..It's damn long..and conclusion..japanese are patient fellows..

end up we can only take photos with those characters whom we don't even know..

arh..this one i know..it's grandpa Donald (someone told me actually cos I thought he is Donald)

then went to the toon town..minnie's/chip&dale/daisy's place..wanted to enter goofy but was stopped by the workers there..cos.."YOU NEED TO BE BELOW 3 YRS OLD TO ENTER".

We went for a 6 rides..

i got an additional one for this horse ride..

And coincidently, saw my mother in law's friend, holidaying with the wife, daughter & son in law. The daughter also got married recently..probably 2 mths before us.

bought the popcorn..it cost 900yen(abt $12) for the can..i think i should get one since it will a different one in different disneyland.

and bought the lunch boxes of Stitch and Mickey..

this is expensive..you pay 24SGD to get 1 lunchbox with burger,fries and drink..but we were thinking..it's an ideal lunch box for our nephews.. dinner also eat there..just ramen..but it's an attraction place..so everything is expensive..

Lots of shoppings..gifts for boss, colleagues, and my wedding helpers..ok..admit..i spent a bomb there..

8th Feb - head for breakfast in Mac..the bread for sausage mcmuffin is different. It has got raisins on the bread..so overall it taste salty and sweet but conclude to be YUMMY! then move off to Hakone..where we will stay a night there.

To start with..

the shinkansen

and boo boo us took the wrong train but luckily we need not route back..just that we are supposed to take the kodama but instead we took Nyozumi. So we swapped the train at Yokohama..

From Hakone, we need to take a train to Hakone Yumoto. From Hakone Yumoto, need to take another train to Gora.

From Gora, we need to take the cable car to Owakudani..whr the volcano is..

From here, you can see the Mt Fuji clearly..before we start our trekk..

we had the famous black eggs..6 for 500yen..eat till i sian..

so i ate 3 eggs..meaning i will gain 21yrs! haha..

taste like local egg..except the shell is in black..they actually soak it in the magic hot water(it's like a spring if i'm not wrong) found in between the volcano..they claimed that you gain 7 yrs of life for eating 1 black egg..

Famous lake in tokyo..but it's damn cold..think should be minus 1 degree..after a while, we really can't take it anymore so we went inside the curise to sit.. after 30 mins cruise..we took a bus to our hotel..Hotel Senkei.

It will be a traditional Japanese room named Ryoken.. with the tatami mat.

I paid 500SGD for the room..thinking they will serve me my dinner and breakfast in the room, not forgetting the hot spring in my room but! no hot spring in my room lor..what they meant by indoor bathhouse, it's actually the bath tub lor! And my colleague paid only 450SGD for hot spring in his room..except he needs to head to the dining room for his meals..this really upset me..

they have the public bath rooms..but we were both shy so we skipped that..I dun mind paying abit more to have the hot spring in my room but the manager claimed that they dun have any rooms with hot spring in their hotel! PISSED!

this is really tradtional..we wore this Yukata every night..but in Hakone, they even provide the socks and shoes.

9th Feb - woke up at 7plus and it very cold even we had 2 heaters in our room..took our breakfast, served by them..it's those traditional that I dun even know how to start..cos it's soup, fish, vege..stuffs that we ate for dinner..

After breakie, head to Yokohama..

So, we just tour in the Musuem..and had our lunch there..but what happen next is the MOST EXCITING..shopping in the factory outlet!

In the evening, went back to our Hotel in Ueno and check in again..after which, head out to have dinner with the Japanese guy. This time, we had shabu shabu (steamboat)..very delicious..the meat looks fat, but when it's cooked, you dip with this special sauce...it's so yummy!

10th Feb - consider the last day of fun in Tokyo..i start to miss Tokyo even there is still another night..we head to Harajuku at early morning..

To Meiji Shrine

Since there is tons of snow, I decide to do some art on it.

Every Sunday morning, there will be some couples holding their wedding ceremonys there. Of course, we get to snap some pics on them..but because i think the couples were not that beautiful nor handsome..I decide not to upload in my blog ;p sorry for being mean..

The shrine is just like any our chinese temple except no burnings over there..and you have to clap, clap and pray..this is different though..

Then we went on to shop in Harajuku St, and the pancake ice cream is a MUST to try..it's a long queue in Harajuku so we did not get it but we had ours during the 1st day..it's cool to eat ice cream during snow..

Instead of taking the train to Shibuya, we decided to walk down..so we can see how the normal street will be as compare to Ueno and Tokyo..Pass by the stadium and Japanese really love baseball..the stadium is packed with crowds and the carpark is filled up with cars..just because of the baseball match..

Shibuya is probably another Cityhall..

not to miss..Burberry Blue Label..got a bag from there.."Blue Label" is exclusive to Japan only.

By the time we walked finish Shibuya and Harajuku, it's already 5pm..so we thought of to skip Shinjuku and head back to Ueno Ameyayokocho to do shopping there..since most items are reasonable over there..Shop till 7pm..still not enough, but no choice, need to head by hotel to put down the stuffs..

after dinner, move off to Ginza. It's already 8.30pm, we knew most shops were closed, but we thought of being there to look at the lightings..and also the "Orchard" of Tokyo.

True enough, been there did not upset us..in fact, cheer us up..walking in the busy Ginza, with top brand stores all around you.

And it's still very cold..i thought of challenging him to have coffee at the cafe, but outdoor. And of course at the end still kana rejected..so we had coffee at the indoor.

2 hot coffees and muffin to stay with us for our last night in Tokyo.

I really miss Tokyo..and I wana go back there again..for their burberry blue label bags..the Shiseido..the people there..the Shinkansen..the "chou" - super nice cream puff..the pudding with coffee chocolate..the ramen..and the next time..I gonna jump into the hot spring..
