my boss just told me that i almost missed out 3 shipments this month.

shipments = money

Am I careless or sotong?

Incident 1

i was in a rush to go home so i finish up my stuffs and went home. The next day my boss told me: Eh last night you nv send out the SI to forwarder.
I replied confidently: of course la, i went home liao.

But the truth was, i was still in the office but i was rushing home so i ignore my mailbox. ;p and it was my boss who told me.

Incident 2

i also forget liao and my boss also forget liao but he told me today that i did left out 3 SI.

Incident 3

Just today, Japan sent out a revised shipment for Hongkong one. And my boss asked: did you receive before?

Again, confidently replied him: No leh, maybe they send just today.

Boss: then how they put revise leh?

Me: maybe they thought they did send out lor, why not you call them and check?

after 5 mins..

Boss: eh, they sent on 19th, but you miss out and nv send to forwarder. Plus, this is for 1st July ocean shipment! Luckily, they sent the revised SI else we will nv know! (ocean shipment need to do at least few days advance, cos need to put the feeder and mother vessel, and before the goods board the feeder, i need to give them the documents)

Me: oh..is it? and i went to my inbox and check..he's right..why am i so blur/careless?!

Boss: this month we almost miss out 3 shipments. you better be careful in future. (of course, he is not saying it in harsh manner, but i felt bad)

Truth was, on the 19th, he was out for meeting the whole day, I am the only one struggling in the office with many SIs coming in that day thus I need to prepare tons of documents plus 20th was company holidays so the documents for 20th shipment I need to complete in on 19th.
And..i was prepared to stay late, say about 9 plus, but when at 6plus, my boss told me GM asked me to join them to accompany client out for dinner..so at 7.20pm, everyone was waiting for me to finish up the balance and at 7.30pm, we rushed out for dinner at Intercontinental Hotel.

I am not trying to push faults but just wondering is it careless or blur? I am really busy lor esp when my boss is not around. And did i mention that month end is the worst for us..plus my boss is taking leave from tomorrow and will be back only on 30th June.

Talking about the dinner with client, he's from HQ (Japan) and my GM is a Japanese. And Japanese loved beer so much that we need to finish a glass of beer before dinner starts. I had 3 bottles that night, was not alot to make me drunk but my boss promote me like a item to them, telling them i am a strong drinker lor. KNS. My GM even said so you can go out on the wkdays since your hubby not in town right? Then next time we got any entertainment, we can ask you along! faintz..now is ok, but what if i am pregnant? how?

anyway, told hubby and mum, not to worry as i not so easy to get drunk, then they no need to worry if i drunk how i make my way home etc..

enough of ranting, back to work!
